Geshev launches new formation

Less than three weeks after being fired, former chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev has launched his new political party - Justice for Bulgaria.

He made it public through Facebook and defined it as a "patriotic and conservative movement based on national dignity, christian ethics and Bulgarian traditional values".

From the founding protocol of the non-profit association, it is evident that among the founders, in addition to Ivan Geshev, are also the publisher of scandalous tabloid PIK Nedyalko Nedyalkov, and Yevgeny Sachev (father of GERB MP Denitsa Sacheva).

Employers no longer have to cover 3 days' sickness

Employers will only have to cover payment for the first two days - as opposed to three formerly - of an employee's sick leave, under a proposal from Finance Minister Assen Vassilev.

The obligation for employers to pay the first three days of sick leave was introduced as a temporary anti-crisis measure for one year in 2010, but continued to apply. According to this rule, during the first three days of illness, the employer covers 70% of the average daily gross remuneration for the month. During the remaining days, 80% of the same amount is paid by the National Insurance Institute.

Amon Ra pays back shareholders after good first year

Solar import company AmonRa Energy will pay 80% of its profits in 2022 in dividends, according to a decision at the first general meeting of shareholders since the company was traded on the medium and small sized companies' stock market BEAM.

About BGN 4.9 million will be distributed among 6.25 million shares, which makes about BGN 0.78 gross income. At a price of BGN 12.50, the dividend yield equals about 6%.

"These are our plans since the end of last year," founder Dimitar Beleliev told Capital. By order, the company must pay at least 50% of net profit back to investors, and according to Beleliev "business is going well", hence AmonRa can afford such a generous distribution of dividends.
