A new poll conducted by Bulgaria's third-largest agency publishing electoral views - Trend, shows a small lead of about 1.5 percentage points for GERB compared to showman Slavi Trifonov's party There Is Such a People which comes in second. However, the difference between the two political entities is now so small that it falls within the margin of statistical error.
GERB still in narrow lead
Even after months of scandal, Trend results still show GERB in the lead in the run-up to the July 11 elections with 21.7% of the votes, followed by There Is Such a People with 20.2% and BSP with 16.1%. The poll was conducted among 1000 people during the period 11-18 June. Overall, all polls conducted so far show that the next parliament will be fragmented and very similar to the short-lived one that followed the April 4 elections.
