Peеvski suggests coalition with WCC, with Borissov in opposition

MRF co-chairman Delyan Peevski said that he could potentially govern together with Kiril Petkov after the forthcoming early elections, while Boyko Borissov and his GERB party could be in opposition.

"The cooperation with Kiril has been much better, easier, and more frequent than that with Borissov. We are more likely to be in coalition with him than with Borissov. I urge Kiril not to engage in these petty intrigues. Borissov is somehow more engaged elsewhere, he's constantly absent from parliament, while Kiril is here. It may happen after the elections that Kiril and I govern, while Borissov is in opposition. Who said that Borissov must necessarily govern?", Peevski stated.

GERB to back halt or privatization of TurkStream section in Bulgaria

GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that his party would support either halting or privatizing the extension of the TurkStream gas pipeline in Bulgaria. However, he would wait for WCC-DB to make such a proposal first.

His comment came in response to the WCC-DB's proposal to establish a temporary parliamentary commission to investigate the circumstances surrounding the missing roadmap for the construction of the extension of the TurkStream pipeline on Bulgarian territory designed to carry Russian gas to Europe.

Borissov emphasized that for him, there is no extension of TurkStream gas pipeline on Bulgarian territory, but rather a Balkan gas hub. "Today, my colleagues can propose a decision to stop the Balkan Stream because it is 100% Bulgarian. Or, why not put it up for privatization? We are ready for both solutions. I propose to either stop it or sell it," Borisov commented, adding that doing otherwise would be national betrayal. - мисля, че послeдното трябва да бъде adding that such steps would be national betrayal.
