President Radev will delay handing over the first mandate until March 18 following the death of Orthodox Church Patriarch Neofit on Wednesday. A memorial service will be held at Alexander Nevsky cathedral on March 15 and Neofit's funeral will be on March 16.

Radev described his passing as "a huge loss for the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and for the entire Bulgarian people". It was previously expected that the president will handle the mandate this Friday.

According to insiders, the late Patriarch Neofit will be replaced by Metropolitan Nickolay or Metropolitan Antonii.

IKEA's Prices To Fall

The Swedish home furnishing and furniture company IKEA will reduce prices in a number of countries due to declining global inflation.

Two years ago, the group increased prices due to the increase in the price of a number of raw materials and transport. Due to the reduction of these costs, many products became cheaper, even from last October, and now a second wave of reductions is coming, reports Kapital.

More than 400 products are listed to become cheaper with discounts ranging from 5% to 20%.

Home Office Conditions Change

Parliament has adopted changes to the Labor Code, which regulates home working conditions. In line with the suggestion of MP Bozhidar Bojanov from WCC-DB, it was accepted that there could be more than one remote workplace, if the worker so wishes, but under certain conditions.

In response to observations that this could be used to go on vacation, the MP explained that often the worker has to do remote work, for example, from his place of birth, and not from the places in which he normally works and lives.

MPs also decided that an employee is not duty bound to respond to his superiors if they call outside working hours. The requirement for Bulgarian legislation to make remote work more flexible is enshrined in the Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
