Verila ship released by Irish

The Verila ship, which was detained by Irish customs on the 20th of December and later reported to be carrying 300 kg of cocaine, has been released by the Irish authorities and will sail from the port of Foynes today, reported the Shipping Company Bulgarian Marine Fleet, owner of the ship.

Earlier today, Kiril Domuschiev, who co-owns the Bulgarian Marine Fleet alongside his brother Georgi commented that "there is nothing strange in the fact that an attempt to transport drugs on board was made without the knowledge of the ship owner and the management of the crew".

The company thanked Irish investigators for "quick and effective actions in identifying the guilty persons" and pledged that it will continue to cooperate in the investigation. The Bulgarian Marine Fleet shipping company intends to take parallel legal actions against all those found to be complicit in the crime.

British company buys e-school diary Shkolo

Educational software platform Shkolo, which offers electronic diaries for more than 1,700 educational institutions across Bulgaria, has announced that it is now property of the largest British provider of educational software - Juniper Education.

The sale of the platform raised concerns among parents that their children's data would be stolen and used, and politicians used the occasion to speak out in defense of children's data. Later, the Ministry of Education announced that it had not been informed about the sale of Shkolo and launched an investigation.

Shkolo facilitates communication between parents and teachers, and in addition to an electronic diary, the platform contains educational materials, calendars with important school events and parent meetings, and statistics on individual student progress, among others.

The company has emphasized that Bulgarian users of the platform will continue to receive support and innovations as usual.

The clips are still available for viewing, but only for personal use by the users who uploaded them, the platform declared, but a quick check shows that the clips of some users are completely deleted.
