BBC: Bansko is fastest growing hub for digital nomads
More and more digital nomads are heading to a small mountain resort in Bulgaria, an article in the BBC travel section states, citing Bansko as one of the newest hubs for such workers.
Recent statistics cited by British media show that every month the resort houses more than 300 people who work remotely, the so-called digital nomads, and during the ski season those significantly rise. Other favorite destinations are coastal cities like Lisbon and Barcelona.
The catalyst for this seems to be Bansko Nomad Fest, a week-long festival where nomads meet, which has grown from a small gathering over the years into the largest annual celebration of digital nomad life worldwide.
