WCC may join liberals in the European Parliament

Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will attend a meeting of political leaders of the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament on Monday (May 30th), Politico reported. According to the publication, this is the clearest sign so far that "We Continue the Change" intends to join the group of liberals at the European level.

The media adds, however, that Bulgarian party MRF, already part of Renew Europe, is also a political opponent of the formation of Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev and that this would impede such a move.

However, it is not inconceivable that most of them do not know that such a possibility exists.

NEC's profit grew by almost 1500% in 2021

The National Electricity Company (NEC) ended 2021 with a record profit of 688.6 million levs, compared to only 43.3 levs million for 2020. This represents an increase of almost 1500%, the main reason being the high prices on the free market, as the company is one of the largest producers of electricity through its hydropower plants.
