Tens of Bulgarian truckers stuck on a burning ship

Last night a ferry caught fire in the waters of the Ionian sea with tens of trucks and many people on board. According to sources, at least 60 of those trucks were Bulgarian and there are still people missing. Reports claim there are at least 2 people stuck on the lowest level of the ferry. At least 2 people are dead and 11 are missing.

Bulgarian Development Bank to loan money for energy bills to companies

The loans will cover up to 4 consecutive months and will not require guarantees. The minimum amount will be 20 thousand levs, up to a maximum of 200 thousand levs. The loan can cover up to 75% of the energy bill.

The government will request compensations from the US for the F-16 delay

Defense Minister Stefan Yanev announced today in Parliament that representatives of the US Department of Defense will be coming to clarify what Bulgaria can receive as compensation for the delay. It was already announced the jets will not be coming as planned, because of supply chain blockages. Sofia had been expecting 8 F-16s with the first jets due to arrive this year.
