Nikolay Mladenov is second Bulgarian politician in Pandora's box
The investigative partner on the Bulgarian side - bird.bg, has shared documents about an offshore company, owned by Bulgaria's ex-foreign minister Nikolay Mladenov. The information apparently comes from the Pandora papers - the recent disclosures about the financial practices of reputable politicians and business people worldwide.
Mladenov, who then became UN representative in Iraq, and later in the Middle East, denied having ever used the company. He stated he needed it for a consulting business before he went on to work for the UN. But he did not reveal it to the UN, maintains bird.bg, which also points out that the contract was signed several days after Mladenov became a UN representative in 2013.
Electricity price again goes through the roof
203 euro per MhW is what it sells for today, making it the highest ever recorded. This is a 10% rise in just a day and probably correlates to today's lower productivity of solar plants.
