Ivanov bashes Peevski and GERB

WCC-DB will not govern together with MRF and with Delyan Peevski, according to Hristo Ivanov, leader of DB. He also added that BoykoBorissov will not become prime minister with their votes. The announcement is crucial before the elections as WCC-DB has made several promises in the past which were not entirely kept such as having a coalition with GERB and MRF.

"We propose a package of reforms, very specific, related to these topics - justice, services, regulators, fight against corruption. We will talk to anyone who is ready to talk to us about these reforms. We exclude DPS because of Peevski", was added by Ivanov.

State funds the energy fund

The lack of funds in the Energy System Security Fund will be compensated by the state budget. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Energy, Vladimir Malinov, specifying that the decision was taken at today's government meeting.

According to Malinov, the deficit in the fund is 449 million levs, which is expected to reach around 500 million levs by the end of the regulatory period.

"The Fund was created to cover the costs of the public electricity supplier in relation to residential customers, as well as to cover the costs of renewable electricity producers." explained Malinov.

Price spike lower than expected

The price of natural gas will increase by a little over 8% in June. This was said by the chairman of the Energy regulator, Ivan Ivanov, during today's open meeting, where the price of gas was discussed, reports BTA.

According to him, the price will rise from 54.70 levs per megawatt hour to 59.55 levs. After the heating season ends, it is expected prices to go down, but the TTF benchmark is recording year highs recently.

Ivanov added that the role of natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan is getting more significant, with nearly 81% already provided by the Caspian country.
