Banks predict household loan increases

Representatives of several banks predicted that the increase in interest rates on household loans can be expected in six months to a year, although it is already a fact for company loans.

Unicredit Bulbank expects that by the end of the year the average interest on mortgage loans will be at the level of 2.7%, and next year it will already reach 3.5%. For 2025, it is expected to rise a little more to an average of 3.7%.

Borissov to hold GERB meeting on whether to stay in coalition

At a three-day national conference next week, GERB will be deciding whether to remain in power, announced leader of the party, Boyko Borisov today.

He intends to start the meeting on Wednesday (November 8), which is also supposed to be the first session of parliament after the break voted for the local elections. "I will be watching what everyone will be doing (during the elections) on Sunday. This will determine the policy of our party. Everywhere, GERB people are raging against the outrages and what they (other parties) are doing," said Borisov.

Sofia to distribute solar panels to some households

Sofia plans to provide free of charge small solar panels with a capacity of up to 4 kW to be installed on the roofs of single-family residential buildings. However, a very small group of households will be able to benefit from this - only those who replaced their wood and coal stoves with air conditioners under previous programs of the municipality.

For this purpose, a tender has been announced, with which a contractor company is being sought for the supply of a total of 220 photovoltaic systems. The budget is BGN 4.3 million without VAT, or about BGN 20 thousand for a 4 kW plant together with batteries.
