Attempts to form regular cabinet resume

GERB and leaders from the WCC-DB formations will meet in parliament tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. This week, Boyko Borissov's party will also meet the heads of other parties in parliament: Vazrazhdane, DPS, BSP and There is Such a People.

Kiril Petkov from WCC announced at the weekend that the coalition would meet with GERB where the two largest formations in parliament will discuss forming a regular government. Neither side, however, has indicated a willingness to compromise. Borissov wants a coalition with ministerial seats divided between his party and WCC-DB but the latter has refused to support a GERB mandate, as well as any government containing its ministers.

Bulgarian bank in money laundering scam, claims GERB deputy

He declined to expand but specified that the information was from a reliable source. "We will raise this topic in the National Assembly and in a few weeks the bill against money laundering may be a fact," he said on television.

This morning the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) stated that it has not been referred to any money laundering case. "The BNB is in contact with the National Tax Service to provide, if necessary, assistance within its competence," it added.
