Peevski consolidates power as Chakarov steps down
Delyan Peevski has become the sole chairman of MRF after co-chair Dzhevdet Chakarov unexpectedly resigned, a move announced on Facebook and later confirmed by an official press release. The statement emphasized unity as essential for fulfilling voters' expectations while noting that the two leaders agreed to end recent internal divisions.
The statement comes as the Supreme Court reviews the party's leadership dispute, following a 10-month power struggle. According to sources, Chakarov's resignation comes under pressure - it comes days after his son was indicted and his companies seized. Nevertheless, Ahmed Dogan's faction of MRF will maintain its 18-member presence in parliament.

The company plans to produce up to 60 satellites a month by the end of 2025 while also expanding operations in the U.S.
