Montana-Sofia road project awaits conceptual design
A deal has been agreed with Transconsult-22 to develop a conceptual design for the Montana-Sofia expressway with a tunnel under the Petrohan Pass. The Chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency, Yordan Valchev, signed the contract. The company was selected through a public procurement procedure under the Public Procurement Act, and the contract is valued at 3.53 million levs. The execution period is 365 calendar days.
As a contractor, Transconsult-22 is tasked with preparing an extended conceptual design for a route that will connect the bypass of Montana and the Sofia Ring Road. The section in question is 82 km long, with a design speed of 120 km/h. The new route will also need to align with the projects for the Montana-Vratsa expressway as well as the Europe highway.
BG-Alert system will be tested on Thursday
On Thursday, October 17th, the functionality of all components of the BG-Alert system will be checked, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior. A message containing text in both Bulgarian and English will be sent to mobile phones across the country. The message will be received only once and will be accompanied by a specific sound and/or vibration. The test will take place between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
The system was initially scheduled to be tested on October 1st, but was postponed due to tensions in the Middle East.
Bianor Holding acquires Serbian startup
The Bulgarian public company Bianor Holding announced a new deal late last week - the technology holding will add the Serbian fintech company Badin Soft to its portfolio.
The deal involves 100% of the shares of the Serbian company, with the founders of Badin Soft becoming shareholders in the Bulgarian entity. The acquisition's value and whether it includes cash are not yet known.
