WCC-DB demand anti-corruption majority
WCC-DB is insisting that an anti-corruption majority of 160 MPs must be in place to make an attempt at a cabinet feasible. The formation made this clear during today's meeting with Prresident Radev. They added that they would put seven legislative measures before parliament this week to test if that degree of support is there. If the necessary majority is not attainable, the coalition would return the mandate unfulfilled.
However, if an anti-corruption majority is established, the coalition will insist on a three-month postponement for the handing over of the second mandate to form a government. Radev did not respond to this request today. Instead he insisted that the main task was the search for a majority for a cabinet and "timely and operational actions" to solve the political crisis.

Customs officials have uncovered more than 3 kg of cocaine, valued at 1,018,656 levs, during an inspection of a truck leaving the country, the Customs Agency reports on its website.
On July 11, a truck with a Turkish registration number, driven by a Turkish citizen, arrived at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint. The driver had been traveling from the Netherlands and Germany through Bulgaria to Turkey. Upon inspection, customs officers discovered that three packages wrapped in stretch film were hidden in the refrigerator located in the driver's cabin. When they opened one of the packages, they discovered a white powdery substance that, when field tested, tested positive for cocaine.
The driver tried to escape but was apprehended. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
