Pleven gets second motor parts producer

Kayser Automotive Systems is about to start production of automotive components in Pleven. The German company has already rented a building, installed equipment and recruited people, with the goal of releasing the first products in the summer.

Within five years the investment is expected to reach around 10 million euros, employing 500 people. This will be the second auto investor in Pleven after Leoni.

Bulgargaz reins in price surge

Bulgargaz will set the increase price of domestic gas at 8% above the price for May instead of the initial 11%, according to the company's new management and Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov.

The cut is possible since the supplier of liquefied gas in June will be Turkish BOTAS, as it has committed to make a discount in the price of reserved capacity. This will save Bulgargaz costs totaling 11.5 million levs in June.

Bulgaria is trying to renegotiate the agreement signed at the end of 2022 with BOTAS, which is disadvantageous for Sofia, although this will prove difficult.
