EC skeptical about Bulgaria's goals

In its spring economic forecast published on Wednesday, it is said that on an annual basis inflation in Bulgaria was 3.1% as of March, while the Eurozone average was 2.4%.

According to EC, to meet the criteria, inflation must be average relative to that of the three member states where it is appreciating the least. A significant increase in the budget deficit is expected - from 1.9 to 2.8%, as well as economic growth of 1.9% of GDP.
