The cancellation of all Covid-19 restrictions in Bulgaria from 20th March, including the green certificate (for vaccination, antibodies) as a prerequisite for accessing public places, is under consideration, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov announced today. The green certificate will continue to be valid only for travel abroad. Petkov said that the country is moving from the red to the yellow Covid zone, and soon may enter the green zone due to its low Covid-spread.
Bankruptcies increased by 13% in 2021
Bankruptcies increased by more than 13% last year compared to 2020, reveals a report from the Registry Agency, prepared for "Capital Weekly". This confirms forecasts that many businesses will have to close. At the same time, more new companies were registered last year than in 2020, with their number growing by nearly 14%. As with bankruptcies, this can be explained by the lower base of comparison at the beginning of the pandemic, when business was weak.
No grenades for Ukraine
Bulgaria has not issued a single permit for the export of dual-use weapons and technology to Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Industry Kornelia Ninova said today. Her clarification followed that of a spokesman for the police forces in the unrecognized Donetsk People's Republic who said on Sunday that the Ukrainian army had used Bulgarian-made grenade launchers during the shelling in Donetsk.
