Sofia, on the other hand, will be the 'go to' place for supporters of the small Vazrazhdane party who will be taking part in the national protest against COVID certificates. The party has mobilized people from 32 places to protest, although some of its own deputies have recently been discovered to have been vaccinated.
COVID rules are changing
And speaking of COVID, the Health ministry has changed the rules for quarantining. The mandatory quarantine becomes 10 days, instead of 14, and the people who've come into contact with an infected person will be required to stay at home for 7 days, starting from the day of last contact. Those with a booster dose will be staying at home for only 4 days, if they present a PCR test to the Regional health inspectorate.
The political leaders are in quarantine
After the Security council chaired by the President, and devoted to North Macedonia, all the leaders of political parties, the PM, the deputy PM and other ministers are in quarantine. The reason: the speaker of Parliament was diagnosed with COVID right after the meeting.And regarding N.Macedonia - no real breakthrough was achieved, meaning the upcoming visit of Kiril Petkov (if it happens, given his quarantine) might not lead to any change in the position.
