The state will pay students' taxes if they have a work contract

The free-of-charge offer will apply to 96 different programs if the student has a contract with a company stating he or she will be hired after graduation. The contract must cover an internship during the period of education and full-time employment after that. Here is the register for the 96 programs that will be covered in this measure.

Sofia hospitals to stop planned operations

All planned operations and hospital admissions in Sofia will cease from 12 January. That's the position of the regional Health Inspectorate in light of the deteriorating situation with the coronavirus. The only exceptions will be oncological, tissue and cell therapy, transplantations and in-vitro procedures.

BG banks switch to SEPA system in February

This means faster and cheaper money transfers for customers. Currently, the BISERA system allows transfers up to 3 times a day, while SEPA will be 24-7. It's also cheaper - all the transactions will cost 1 lev. At present, the faster transactions cost more.
