A1 and Telenor announced in an SMS today to all their users a hike in the monthly tax for their services, citing rising inflation. This is a rather unique occurrence, yet one allowed in the contracts. The only telecom which has not announced a higher rate is Vivacom BTC. The increase will be between 4% and 5%.

NATO should not place extra troops here

This is the new position of Defence Minister Stefan Yanev. In a FB post, he stated that such a move would "unnecessarily raise tensions in the region, while there is no direct threat to the Alliance" from Russia's mobilization on the Ukraine border. The news that NATO was contemplating such a move emerged over the weekend through Der Spiegel.

This means the committee can effectively bypass Bulgaria's prosecution. Tsatsarov's institution has been surprisingly active in recent weeks, targeting several municipalities, controlled by ex-ruling party GERB. Most of the raids were in connection with EU procurement.
