Leaders' negotiations begin

After finishing successful negotiations in 18 thematic groups, leaders of the future possible ruling coalition are beginning closed meetings to discuss names and positions in the cabinet. The last one of the chapters - International relations, was closed on Saturday with a tentative agreement on everything, even North Macedonian relations, and Russia. In it, Kiril Petkov, leader of the winning party We Continue The Change, announced the beginning of cabinet talks on Monday and promised a 4-year mandate. The Socialist Party, however, wanted to see a written coalition agreement before beginning negotiations about personnel.

Aluminium producer Alcomet posts 42% revenue growth

The Shumen-based company has declared a huge rise in activity - 375 million levs of revenues, probably due to the comparison with pandemic-ridden 2020. Yet profits have slowed, falling to a little over 700 thousand levs (350 thousand euros). The agricultural Agria Holding Group has also grown a lot - 34% rise in revenues up to 333 million levs. This week is the deadline for public companies to declare data for the previous quarter.

A second e-bus procurement is checked for corruption

Weeks after entering Varna municipality to probe irregularities in e-buses procurement, the anti-corruption commission has entered Stara Zagora for a similar offence. The combined procurement includes diesel, as well as electric buses, together with charging stations, and is valued at 85 million levs. The anti-corruption commission has stated that there are "visible similarities" in both cases.
