At the last minute its controversial figure nominee for justice minister, Momchil Ivanov, withdrew his candidacy. This followed a scandal involving the FB posts of Ivanov, targeting other possible coalition partners like Democratic Bulgaria.

The new cabinet now needs to be voted in by Parliament next week. So far the two other smaller protest parties - DB and Stand up! - have not indicated whether they will support it.

Almost 200 fires registered yesterday

Another danger stems from the large fires in Northern Macedonia spreading into Bulgarian territory. Bulgaria has dispatched emergency teams to its neighbor to assist with the disaster.

20 mln euro to be invested in a plant in Gabrovo

Ceratizit Bulgaria is growing thanks to a huge investment from its Austrian parent company Plansee. The local branch, dealing with metal-cutting instruments, is seeing huge growth in orders. The money will be invested in new equipment, a new logistical center and a new production plant in 2023.
