EU accepts digital COVID certificates from today

Bulgaria has been part of the program for a month now and already issues certificates. This means any EU-issued certificate - with information on PCR tests, vaccinations and past Covid illness - is already valid for entry everywhere in the Union and contains the same info. There is still, however, the possibility of adding further conditions on entry. Bulgaria for now hasn't applied any additional measures.

Endurosat launches a mission with SpaceX

The Bulgarian nanosatellite company used a SpaceX rocket to launch two satellites today. They will offer shared services to various companies participating in the Shared Satellite Service, Enduro offers. This will allow companies to use Endurosat technology to launch their own research in space. The second satellite was used by the Kuwait-based QMR-KWT.

State budget is out of the red zone

Numbers show an 82 million leva surplus for the first two quarters. This is up from a negative 173 million in the last quarter - 0.1% from GDP. Revenue from corporate taxes probably accounts for the good performance. The finance minister claims that revenues this year will be between 1-1.5 billion leva above the original forecast.
