Pain - modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment

The event

The Bulgarian Society of Neurology and Capital are organizing an event on the topic: "Pain - modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment".

Pain is undoubtedly a universal symptom for which medical consultation is sought. It has a protective function and occurs when damage has occurred in the body.

In certain cases, acute pain becomes chronic and is the basis of a disease that impairs the patients' quality of life. In diseases of the nervous system, chronic pain is called neuropathic, and its treatment is difficult.

Headache, in turn, is divided into primary and symptomatic (related to various diseases). Primary headaches are most often migraines and tension headaches.

They are characterized by repeated attacks throughout life, disrupting the working capacity of the patients. Modern medicine has a number of new means for the prevention and treatment of headaches.

Leading experts and health institutions involved in the field of neurology and pain treatment are invited to draw together a real and working strategy for improved access to therapy for this massive health problem in Bulgaria.
