The contest
If the industry takes advantage of the rapid development of technology and modern methods of production, this will lead to a qualitative change for the entire economy. The "Factory of the Year" competition is a Capital event that aims to recognize sustainable leaders - those who meet the challenges of the environment by relying on technology and innovation, while at the same time caring for people and the environment.
The initiative is being held for the second year in a row. Applicants will be assessed against criteria developed in partnership with TrakiaTech, Novarto and LSEG.
The winner will receive the prestigious "Factory of the Year" award, which they will carry until the next edition in 2024.
An additional award will be given for the most innovative project implemented with the participation of a Bulgarian team.
Rating and finalists
A total of 14 companies participated in the competition this year. With very close results in the initial assessment, 7 of them reached the final: "Ber-Hella Thermocontrol", "BTL Industries", "Bulmint One", "VITTE Automotive", "Latekoer", "Sensata Technologies" and "Standard Profile". The shortlisted candidates have already been interviewed by Novarto's experts, and the companies' stories will be presented on capital.bg.
The final decision on who is the winner will be made by a competent jury based on the points obtained in the evaluation and the additional information presented during the interviews.
The ceremony
The award ceremony in the "Factory of the Year" contest will be held on December 7, 2023. In addition to the winner, the winner of the additional award - "Most innovative project with the participation of a Bulgarian team" will also be announced there. The host of the event is the winner of the award from last year - the Plovdiv plant of "Schneider Electric Bulgaria".
