Digital transformation in the service of the health needs of the Bulgarian citizens

The pandemic has boosted digitalization in all areas globally, and the development of online sales channels has emerged as a key strategy.

The need for urgent digital transformation was felt most strongly in the health sector and although these processes in Bulgaria are delayed, from this year doctors, master pharmacists, and patients can now use electronic referral and electronic prescription. However, the data show that they use only a small part of the opportunities provided.

In the last two events of "Capital", dedicated to the challenges of the introduction of e-health in Bulgaria, we have repeatedly raised the issue of opportunities for patients. Opportunities that exist all over the world - easy identification of the patient, lack of familiar piles of paper, easy receipt of medicines in the most convenient place for him, and maybe at home?

Today consumers, including patients, are online and they are actively seeking online services. This inevitably excites us. Therefore, on March 9, 2021, we will focus on the topic, continuing our series of webinars dedicated to digital transformation in the health sector.

We plan to discuss the state strategy for the introduction of e-health, e-prescription, and opportunities for health professionals and patients, good practices in other European countries, public attitudes towards e-commerce and more.
