Kalin Hristov

Deputy Governor, Bulgarian National Bank

Kalin Hristov is Deputy Governor in charge of the Issue Department and member of the Governing Council of the Bulgarian National Bank from 23 October 2009. He is elected by the 43rd National Assembly on 29 July 2015 for a second six-year term of office, starting from 24 October 2015.

Peter Andronov

Chairman of the Country Team of KBC Group for Bulgaria, Country Manager of KBC Group for Bulgaria, Chairman of the Management Board of UBB, CEO of UBB

Peter Andronov was appointed Executive Director of CIBANK in July 2007. In March 2008 hе became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and since March 2011 he has been Country Manager of KBC Group for Bulgaria. Аfter the acquisition of UBB by the Belgian bancassurance group KBC Group, Peter Andronov was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of UBB. Since 2008 he has also been a member of the Management Board of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria and its representative in the Banking Supervision Committee at the European Banking Federation. Since May 2015 he has been apponted Chairman of the Executive Board of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB). Before his appointment in CIBANK, Mr. Andronov held a number of positions in the private banking sector and in the Bulgarian National Bank. From 2002 until May 2007 he headed the Banking Supervision Department at the BNB. From 2003 until May 2007 he was a member of the Management Board of the Reserve Guarantee Fund. Mr. Andronov is also a member of the BNB’s Investment Committee. During the period 2005 – 2007 he was an observer and member of the European Banking Committee (EBC) and the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) at the European Commission. During the same period he was an observer and member of the Banking Supervision Committee (BSC) at the European Central Bank. Mr. Andronov has been involved in the elaboration of the currently effective legislation framework on bank supervision in Bulgaria, incl. the Credit Institutions’ Act, the Supplementary Supervision of Financial Conglomerates Act, the BNB’s supervisory ordinances, instructions etc. Peter Andronov has a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia (UNWE). Since 1995 he has lectured on Introduction to Finance and Banking Regulation at the UNWE, at the Higher School of Insurance and Finance and at the New Bulgarian University /International Banking Institute. He is fluent in English, German and Russian.

Teodora Petkova

CEO and Chairman of the Management board of UniCredit Bulbank

From May 2019 Teodora Petkova is CEO and Chairman of the Management board of UniCredit Bulbank. In September 2016 she became a member of the Management Board and Chief Risk Officer at Unicredit Bulbank in Sofia. She is the Chairing head of the Credit Council of Unicredit Bulbank, of the Provisioning and Restructuring Committee, and a member of the Credit Committee. She started her career in the Bank as a credit analyst in 2002 and became senior manager of the corporate credit team in 2007, leading the post-merger integration and implementation of the best practices in credit underwriting operations for the three local banks that were merged into UniCredit Bulbank. In the period 2009-2015, Teodora was Head of the Credit Risk Department of the Bank. Then she gained cross-divisional business experience as Head of International Center in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, managing the relationship with the international and multinational corporates, having Bulgarian establishments. She is part of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Consumer Financing EAD and UniCredit Leasing EAD has years of experience as part of the Board of Directors of UniCredit Factoring EAD. She is member of the Executive Board of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB) and she is in the Board of Directors of BORICA - Bank Services. Teodora Pеtkova holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria. She also has a Global Executive MBA from Carlson Business School of the University of Minnesota and from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
 

Miroslav Vichev

CEO, BORICA

Miroslav Vichev is a Chief Executive Officer of the payment and card operator BORICA. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of information technology for the banking sector. Before joining the company, he held a number of leadership positions - Head of "Applied Systems" at the Bulgarian Postbank, Director "Management Consulting and IT" at Deloitte & Touche, Head of "Consulting Department" at Microsoft Bulgaria and a consultant to the BNB in relation to the RINGS system, IT Director at HVB Bank Biochim, CEO of DSK Bank. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of the "DSK Rodina" pension company, member of the Board of Directors of the "Cash Service Company AD" and a member of the Board of Directors of OTP Bank (Russia), Deputy of the CEO of OTP Bank (Hungary) and Chief Information Manager of the banking group. Mr. Vichev is a former graduate of the Technical University of Sofia.

Aleksander Petrov

Partner, McKinsey & Company

Alek leads McKinsey’s work on risk advanced analytics in Europe. He supports clients across a range of risk topics, focusing especially on stress testing, recovery planning, and asset analysis. He maintains a wealth of experience in capital markets, derivatives pricing, and portfolio management from his consultancy work with clients and his earlier career in financial services. Before joining McKinsey, Alek, who is a member of the US Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, spent ten years in quant and trading roles in the European fixed-income and structured-finance sectors. For his doctorate on finance from the University of Vienna, he studied stochastic volatility in equity derivatives. Alek is a board member of the Aleksander Foundation, which seeks to promote the development of university education in Bulgaria. He is fluent in Bulgarian, English, German, and Russian, and has conversational ability in Italian.

Arnaud Leclair

Arnaud Leclair has been CEO of Societe Generale Expressbank since 2014. Before that he has collected extensive banking experience in the SG Group in its subsidiaries in France, Germany, Russia and Bulgaria. During his term at SGEB, the bank has demonstrated excellent financial results and growth in the Retail and Corporate segments. He acts as a mentor and sponsor of various strategic initiatives and projects. Arnaud Leclair is currently sponsor of the project for the integration between DSK Bank and Expressbank.

Christof De Mil

Christof De Mil started his career in KBC Group in 1995. After 10 years at various managerial positions in the RET/SME branch network of KBC Group, in 2006 he moved to the Czech Republic to head the RET/SME branch network of CSOB for a period of 5 years. Mr. De Mil’s career continued in the Management Board of CIBANK with responsibilities in the following domains: Retail banking, Branch Network and distribution channels and Payments. He has a degree in Economics from the Economic University of Ghent and also MBA from INSEAD. He is fluent in Dutch, English, French, Business German and basic Czech.

Valentin Mihov

Valentin Mihov has more than 20 years professional experience in management consulting and banking. His focus over the years has been on strategy, organizational development, transformation, integration and turnaround. Kamen Slavov

Kamen Slavov is Head of Financial instruments at the Funds of funds in Bulgaria which is tasked with the implementation of financial instruments in Bulgaria in the context of ESIF. Prior to the Fund, Kamen Slavov served as a manager, Corporate finance at KPMG in the Balkans, advising clients in both the private and the public-sector space in the region. He was focused on projects in Infrastructure, Financial Services and Telecommunications. Previously, served in key corporate banking roles at the Bulgarian subsidiary of a major banking group in CEE, most recently in financial due diligence and rating of prospective large corporate borrowers. Before that, was a loan officer for mid-caps and SMEs demonstrating strong track record in deal origination and execution. Kamen Slavov holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from UNWE (Bulgaria).
