THE CONTEXT

Data is the fuel for today's business! That’s why protecting both the information itself and the assets associated with it is a matter of survival for any modern organization. Meanwhile, despite increasing investments in comprehensive cyber resilience, rapid innovation and growth often lead to uneven development in this regard across companies.

Security solutions are becoming increasingly complex, expensive and requiring specific skills and expertise, with fewer and fewer companies able to afford maximum protection. Therefore, the gap between organizations that maintain at least a minimal level of security and those that are sufficiently resilient in cyberspace is widening at an alarming rate - a trend that threatens the entire ecosystem.

Last year was marked by the rapid development of systems and tools that use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). They promise significant innovation in virtually every area of the economy, including cyber security.

However, according to experts, GenAI will provide far more opportunities for potential attackers than for defenders. These will range from easy writing of malicious code to much more impactful and targeted phishing messages.

The good news is that most vendors offering cybersecurity products and services are investing serious resources in order to implement AI tools in their solutions so that they can face the emerging challenges.
